Hello USA

I landed in the States three days ago and well — its cold. 'Hermine' is also coming. In case you're wondering — it's a tropical storm.

Also, I'm missing India. The crowd, the noise and the dust.

I had been to the orientation for international students and met a few new people — also joining university like me. University officials informed us about various resources like WeCare, NUPD, Student Employment and NU thrive. I also won a t-shirt of NU thrive - which actually is 2XL. My size is L.

Boston is very silent, of a level I've not experienced back in Gurgaon (to be Gurugram) for more than last 10 years. There are so few people here, fewer two-wheeler, no auto-rickshaws, no cycle-rickshaws. And no one blows horn. I like the subway — like Delhi metro but without crowd and queues for security check.

Today's the first day I've turned my laptop on after coming to the US and since there's so much natural light coming in through windows, I've upped the brightness and laptop's fan is roaring loud. Very loud. I'm waiting for new MacBook Pro 2016 since March this year. Please come soon.

I hope to make new friends soon and make this new journey of mine further interesting.
